His fortune cannot save Somnath. So Someshwar takes his plea somewhere else.

With his friend Iqbal beside him and a broken temple fragment in his hands, he heads south toward the Chola Empire. There, his search for revenge begins to involve people with very different strengths and backgrounds.

But a shared purpose doesn’t make the road ahead any safer. There are secrets to uncover, allies to find, and betrayals to survive.

We follow that journey in our review of Amish Tripathi’s The Chola Tigers.

How do you steal from a thief without telling a single new lie? 👀

At a wedding in Himachal Pradesh, a cunning dacoit replaces real laddoos with foul imitations and escapes with a basket of sweets and a bottle of honey.

Then he meets Sher Singh.

To protect his loot, the dacoit claims that the basket contains “honey seeds” that can turn into bees, while the bottle holds poison. He thinks his lies will keep everything safe. But has he just handed another trickster the perfect way to outwit him?

“No need to thank us.”

Then the thank-you never comes, and we realize we were waiting for it.

Giving without expecting anything in return sounds simple. Everyday life has a way of showing us where it gets complicated.

In our latest post, Kahlil Gibran’s words lead us from the expectations tucked into a favor to another familiar moment: turning down help when we could really use it.

What do those small moments reveal about generosity and pride?

Read the full reflection through the link in our bio. Save this post for a quiet moment, and tell us: which feels harder, giving freely or letting someone help?

What if the reason we feel stuck is not that we are doing too little, but that we are busy with the wrong things?

We can spend an entire day answering messages, attending meetings, and ticking off tasks, only to realize that nothing truly meaningful moved forward.

Henry David Thoreau’s observation about busy ants offers a timely reminder: activity and progress are not always the same.

Our latest blog post explores the difference between being busy and being productive, why we fall into the busyness trap, and how we can focus on what matters without burning ourselves out.

A writer dies. Her unfinished manuscript is left behind. Her struggling friend takes it home.

June tells herself she is only editing Athena’s work. Then she publishes it, accepts the praise and watches those stolen pages become the success she has spent years chasing.

But fame attracts questions.

In our latest review, we explore how Yellowface turns plagiarism, envy and cultural appropriation into a tense story about the lies people tell themselves when ambition takes over.

Would you keep reading if you already knew the narrator was guilty? 📚

Every evening, the headman’s prized black cow returned home without a single drop of milk. Yet the cowherds insisted that her udder had been full at noon. 🐄
