Children are creativity personified. Their imagination knows no limits, their passion is second to none, and they fearlessly express themselves. When a child, say, paints a picture, they aren’t looking to become the best artist in the world or win any awards. They do it just because they like doing it. And this free-spirited pursuit of their imagination helps them unlock their creativity. However, growing up, practical considerations take over as ingenuity takes a back seat. This stifles their unbridled enthusiasm, and before they know it, the spark is gone.
IS ADULTHOOD A CURSE?
Of course not. It is an as important phase of our lives as any other, childhood included. That said, in most cases, it does tend to blunt the creativity that children are known for. A large part of the blame has to fall upon the society, which arbitrarily limits certain artistic endeavors to infancy. Another reason is the lack of honing. While children do possess the raw talent to create some jaw-dropping stuff, this ability needs to be translated into a finished product going forward. Unfortunately, the innovative spark in most children dies a slow, painful death because of the lack of honing.

Children are imaginative bundles of joy. However, to maintain and polish that ingenuity growing up isn’t as common as we think. Every parent must make it a point to find out what their young one is passionate about. It isn’t just a parent’s duty toward their child, but also something we must all do to ensure a happy, constructive society.
