BOOKS AMEYA

A digital watercolor illustration of a romantic rainy evening, showing a young couple sharing a quiet moment under an umbrella — capturing the tender emotion of my first crush.

My cheeks were red,

Lips felt dry.

Romantic love poems filled my head,

I was smiling — I don’t know why.

When his eyes found mine,

Time froze in a hush.

A spark lit up the line —

And I just knew: he was my first crush.

He smiled with ease,

And my heart skipped a beat.

It was poetry and love in the breeze,

As he stood there on that crowded street.

We spoke without a word,

In silence, emotions rushed.

Love poems for my love—how absurd,

Yet I felt them bloom as my cheeks blushed.

That look he gave, sincere and shy,

Felt like a verse the heavens would brush.

Now I know, and I won’t deny —

I had just met my first crush.
